Day 1.
Bye Bye Siem Reap
Siem Reap - Battambang
70% Tarmac / 30% Dirt Road ... 175km
Departing from our hotel after a warm greeting and briefing, we make our way past the iconic Angkor Wat and continue onto dirt roads, riding alongside the Baray, the vast man-made reservoir that once served as a vital water source during the Angkorian era.
Today, we also set out to explore Cambodia’s western region—Battambang Province. Its gentle capital, historic Battambang City, is our final destination for the day. Before reaching the city, we stop to climb the stairs of Phnom Sampaeu, a limestone hill offering sweeping views over the lush, fertile countryside for which Battambang is renowned.
At the summit, we take time to visit the colorful temples and observe the war relics scattered around the area, each telling a quiet story of Cambodia’s turbulent recent history.

Day 2.
Ancient Temples & Bamboo Trains
Battambang – 1500 Mountains

After breakfast, we depart from Battambang, following the Stung Sangker River to reach the ancient Banan Temple. This 11th-century Angkorian temple is perched atop hill, offering panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
we experience the famous Bamboo Train—a unique ride on a makeshift bamboo platform powered by a small motor, gliding along old railway tracks through the rural landscape. Continuing our journey southward, we head towards Phnom 1500, located in Veal Veng District, Pursat Province.
This mountain, also known as Phnom 1500, is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, offering opportunities for hiking, camping, and enjoying breathtaking views of Cambodia’s landscape.

Day 3.
Thai Boarder
1500 mountains – Thmoda – Koh Kong

Today, we begin our journey by ascending Phnom 1005 in Pursat Province, a mountainous area offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
From there, we ride approximately 85 kilometers along the Thai-Cambodian border, enjoying the scenic route through the Cardamom Mountains. Our descent leads us to Koh Kong City, a coastal town known for its natural beauty and proximity to the Gulf of Thailand.

Day 4.
A Day to Chill
Rest Day
today we’re taking it easy—cruising on a boat along the Tatai River and ending at the waterfall for a few hours with some ice cold beers.
Then we’ll cruise back to the resort to rest and recover our energy for the journey ahead tomorrow.

Day 5.
The Breath Taking Cardamom Mountains:
Koh Kong – Thmorbang - Chipat
40% Tarmac / 60% Dirt Road ... 190km
After a well-deserved rest day, we’re back on the bikes to explore the stunning Cardamom Mountains. We’ll start with a 60 km ride on the highway out of town before diving into the heart of the jungle. The dirt road takes us deep into the wilderness—narrow paths, river crossings and thrilling descents await. Our adventure leads us to a hidden waterfall just before reaching Chi Phat, a village known for its eco-tourism and community-based conservation efforts. We’ll spend the night there, immersed in nature and local culture.

Day 6.
Head in the Clouds:
Chipat – Bokor National Park – Kampot – Kep
40% Tarmac / 60% Dirt Road ... 195km
we’ll leave the village and cross the river by ferry, heading west to connect with National Road 48. From there, we ride towards Bokor National Park, making our way up to its misty summit.
At the top, we’ll explore the hauntingly beautiful remnants of the old French colonial era—including the iconic casino and church, both still standing against time.
After soaking in the views and history, we continue our journey through Kampot and end the day in the coastal town of Kep, just a short distance from the Vietnam border

Day 7.
Ocean to City:
Kep – Phnom Penh
70% Tarmac / 30% Dirt Road ... 165km
We have reached the final leg of our big bike journey. Following the highway back North, we leave of the Coastal, we make our way back to the Capital City of Phnom Penh.

FAQ’S:
What motorbikes do we ride this Adventure tour?
We ride CFMOTO 450 MT. A middle range adventure motorcycle which is perfect for Cambodia and South-East Asia.
You will need a valid motorbike license or learners permit.
What gear do I need to bring with you for this motorbike tour?
You must wear an approved motorbike helmet, boots, goggles and gloves. We recommend bringing a 2L water bladder to keep you hydrated in the Cambodia climate. You will be able to fill this each day
What happens if I have an accident on the motorbike tour?
Your tour guides are first aid trained and carry a first aid kit with them in case of minor injuries. We will call for emergency services if needed. We recommend getting travel insurance that covers you for most activities but especially motorbike riding.
What happens if I damage or break the bike on the tour?
We offer bike insurance at $25 per day, which covers all damage to the motorcycle during the tour. If you choose not to take the insurance and an accident occurs that results in severe damage or the breaking of an important part of the bike, you will be responsible for the replacement costs. Our Ride crew is highly experienced and can almost always get a bike running again. In the event of any breakdowns, we will do our best to repair the issue and get you back on the road as quickly as possible.
How experienced do I have to be to do the Adventure bike tour in Cambodia?
As long as you have had some road and off-road experience, you will be fine. We cater for all skill levels and our fantastic guides will help you along the way.
Can I bring my own motorbike on the tour?
Absolutely, the cost of the tour becomes cheaper when you bring your own bike. However, your motorcycle must be serviced or inspected by the VMS workshop to ensure it is fully prepared for the tour. You will also be responsible for performing any required servicing or maintenance on your bike throughout the tour.
What do I need to bring on the dirt bike tour?
You only need to bring your riding gear, clothes for the evenings, and any personal items you’ll need at night. On rest days, we’ll mostly stay in good hotels and resorts.
What is supplied for the Motorcycle Tour in Cambodia?
We provide a 450 MT motorcycle, all meals (breakfast, dinner, and trail snacks), fuel for the entire trip, a fully equipped support vehicle to carry all your gear, ferry fees, necessary permits, and experienced lead and sweep riders.
